BECOME A FACILITATOR

people receiving harm reduction training to become facilitators for Holding Hope's support groups

Volunteer as a facilitator

We welcome new peer group facilitators from across Canada. If you are interested in becoming a facilitator, please contact us for groups located in British Columbia. For all other provincial groups, please contact us by clicking here. We provide harm reduction training, resources and on-going support. Leading a peer-run group is both a supportive and a rewarding experience.

At Holding Hope, our goal is to offer support to people across the country, who have a loved one struggling with substance use.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BECOMING A FACILITATOR

  • You have a personal desire to “give back” and offer peer support to families and individuals who are impacted by their loved one’s substance use.

  • You have “lived experience” (you have personal experience supporting a loved one or you work in the field supporting those who are challenged with substance use)

  • You are a member of, or are willing to join, Moms Stop The Harm
